1) Installation:

- gunzip helix.tar.gz
- tar xvf helix.tar

go to newly created dir HELIX

compile with:

cc helix.c -lm -lX11 -o xhelix.out

2) Running XHelix:

xhelix.out 2zta _ test -a -g

you will get a window and the following output (below)
try moving the mouse in the window..play with the mouse
buttons..
 

dir also contains another example:

xhelix.out 2mhr _ test -a
 

3) Input requirements

pdb-file with extension .pdb
and a corresonding dssp-file with extension .dssp
